Unattended Truck In/Out
System This system is designed to
weigh trucks coming in and out of the facility in an unattended mode of
operation. Approximately 100 truck ID numbers and tare weights can be stored in
the system. When the truck is pulled onto
the scale, the driver presses the WEIGH key and enters the truck ID. If the ID
and tare weight are found, the system captures the weight and prints a ticket. If the truck ID or tare
weight is not found, the system prompts the driver to come back onto the scale
to complete the transaction. At that point, the truck ID and "in
weight" are stored in the in-yard table. When the truck comes back
onto the scale, and the ID is entered, the system retrieves the data from the
in-yard table, captures the weight, and completes the transaction by storing
the truck ID and tare weight in the truck database for future visits, and
printing a ticket. Tickets are printed on an
Epson LX-300 printer located about 500-1000 feet away from the scale. Two
Proxim RF modems are used to transmit the print signal to the printer. That’s
what makes this system unique. The RF(Radio Frequency)
modems are small wireless communication devices that replace RS-232 cables.
This technology eliminates the need to install serial cables over a long
distance. This system also provides
the capability to store a new truck tare weight, delete a vehicle, and print a
truck list and in-yard table list.
