Production Analysis System

The Production Analysis System is a computer interface to a WI-130 check-weighing application. The computer program provides product data to the check-weighing system, and the WI-130 check-weighing system provides completed transaction data to the computer. This data can then be used in reports.

Features of the computer application include setting up System Configuration, product maintenance, operator maintenance, editing and deleting of transactions, and generating reports.

System Configuration settings include computer serial port settings, production shift times, and the number of active lines on the production floor.

Product maintenance allows new products to be created, existing products to be edited or deleted, a product list to be printed, and the product database to be downloaded to the WI-130.

Each product record includes the Product ID, several lines of descriptions, shelf life, UPC code, date type, target weight, tare weight, minimum and maximum weight, and weight type.

Operator maintenance allows new operators to be created, existing operators to be edited or deleted, an operator list to be printed, and the operator database to be downloaded to the WI-130.

Besides permitting stored transactions to be deleted or modified, reports can be generated, using these transactions. After selecting a starting and ending date range for the report, and selecting the type of report desired, the report can be viewed on the screen, sent to a printer, exported to Excel, or sent to in-house e-mail.

WI-130 Scale Operation

To begin weighing product, the operator presses the PALLET key, and enters the product number. The system displays the related product data to confirm the correct product.

After confirming that the product is correct, the operator enters a lot number. Pallets can now be weighed.

The operator places a pallet on the scale. When the weight stabilizes, the operator has several choices for processing the pallet. These choices are made by pressing the appropriate function key.

Pressing the PLLBL prints a pallet label and stores the transaction. The PRINT key prints a label without saving the transaction. The NOPRT key saves the transaction without printing a label. The RPRNT key reprints a label for the last transaction.

After making the desired choice, the operator places another pallet on the scale, and continues with the weighing process. All the while, the computer system is receiving weight transactions from the WI-130 and storing them. u
