Product Storage & Weighing System

Using the new 1 MEG memory expansion card for the WI-130, this system stores approximately 1000 products and 2000 transactions.

After setup and storage of products in the WI-130, weighing can begin. The operator presses the START key, and the system prompts for entry of a product code, operator ID, and lot number. The system then enters a check-weighing display mode.

The operator begins placing the product into a box. The system indicates whether the weight is under, over, or within an acceptable weight range, by using the under and over tolerances stored in the product database.

Once the box is within the acceptable weight range, a bar-code label, for the box, is printed using a Prodigy printer, the transaction is stored, and the box placed on a pallet. The weight and count are accumulated for a pallet label, which will be printed once the pallet is full.

The bar-code label printed for the box includes a graphic image(shown below) that is printed using a graphics memory module installed in the Prodigy printer.

Two reports provided by this system include a transaction report and a product list.
